HolyCrab @ Bugis – Putting an exclamation mark behind the name
The crabs from HolyCrab definitely got us exclaiming “holy crab!” when we had a bite. Firstly, all the crabs that we ate were caught fresh and were so meaty, sweet, fresh and juicy. The flavours of the crab dishes were very localised flavours despite not having the normal “chilli crab”.

The Mad Sailors @ Haji Lane – A Maddening Good Time
From the owners of the Working Title and Afterwit situated around Haji Lane, comes a new café, “The Mad Sailors”. The name came from the expression “Mat Salleh” that Malays used to refer to the Caucasians – which seems fitting, seeing as how this café came to be due to a lady’s dream of bringing authentic halal British food into Singapore. True to its name, The Mad Sailors serves up a wide assortment of British-related food, not forgetting classics such as Fish-and-Chips.
