Lazy to step out of the comforts of Amari Phuket? So were we! We didn’t have to worry about getting hungry though. The multitude of dining options in Amari Phuket left us spoilt for choices. We had the opportunity to visit 3 dining areas in Amari: The Clubhouse, Rim Talay and La Gritta.
The Clubhouse is exclusive to club guests of the Ocean Wing, where one can enjoy an awe-inspiring 270-degree view of Patong Bay.
Designed to offer enhanced privacy and enjoyment, the Clubhouse features an infinity pool, a sun deck, and its own fitness centre, all of which are reserved exclusively for club guests. The Clubhouse Lounge serves breakfast and an all-day à la carte dining menu.
We visited the Clubhouse for our daily breakfast because it was just a stone throw away from our room. The breakfast buffet spread includes pastries, fried staples, cereal, juices and salami.
Besides choosing from the breakfast buffet spread, you also get to choose from an ala-carte menu! We got to order eggs benedict, pancakes, waffles, noodles, spinach fritters, the list goes on. Safe to say, every breakfast we had was a FULL-filing one!
We really miss dining with such a splendid view. It makes our meals taste better than they already do. Because of its prime location, Amari Phuket is effortlessly photogenic from every angle.
If you are a club guest, you can enjoy complimentary tea, coffee and light snacks throughout the day. From 17:30 to 18:30 hrs, the Clubhouse also serves sunset complimentary cocktails and pre-dinner canapés. This was probably my favourite part of Amari Phuket.
Following the covered walkways from the resort lobby, guests will make way to another seaside dining option: Rim Talay.
Besides offering breakfast and an extensive international à la carte menu to hotel guests, Rim Talay also offers a different themed buffet every single day of the week! We enjoyed the Thai Gala buffet at Rim Talay Restaurant. It is available every Sunday only at THB 980++ per person. Be sure to check out the live cooking station!
What’s not to love about dining by the sea?
La Gritta is known to be one of the most romantic restaurants in Phuket. If you are staying in Amari, I would recommend visiting this restaurant at least once. Its romantic ambience, coupled with stunning views of Patong Bay makes it well worth the splurge.
This restaurant serves authentic Italian dishes inspired by the home cooking of Chef Patrizia Battolu. Besides the personal touches to our food, we particularly appreciated the staff’s attentiveness and professionalism.
CAPESANTE MARINATE (THB 680) offers one of the juciest renditions of scallops you would ever try in your life.
We also had the privilege to try the Chef’s newest creation: Home-made Pappardelle. Even though we were so full from the previous dishes, we slurped up every single bit of this dish. How I wish I can have this again! This dish is part of the La Gritta Six-Course Discovery Menu (1590 THB), where guests get to enjoy scallops, porcini mushroom soup, pan-fried seabass or wagyu beef. If you are spoilt for choice, try the Discovery Menu to have the best of all worlds!
The price is a steal considering the venue and the quality you would be getting.
I have a soft spot for chocolate, and the FONDENTE AL CIOCCOLATO (320THB) hits all the right spots.
All in all, our stay at Amari Phuket was made even more enjoyable because of the meals we had in the comforts of the resort premises. The resort integrates stunning views together with a wide variety of food choices and facilities. It is no wonder we never got bored.
