We booked the Deluxe two room spa villa which comes with a private spa cabana next to the plunge pool where you can enjoy a spa treatments. A 3 story villa with over 3,000 squre feet of space, the ground floor is where you find the living room, a mini kitchen, the plunge pool.
The second floor is where the master bedroom with a king size bed and another bed room with a twin bed is located. If you are a bathroom person, every part of Montigo’s bathroom is goals for your own house.
Walk up to the sky terrace and you’ll be treated to a breathe taking sight overlooking the ocean and a large open space to hold a bbq or even just relax on their sunbed whilst admiring the sunset.
What to eat?
Tadd serves buffet breakfast which comprises of many local Indonesian items as well as international selections like toast, cereal and congee. Among the resorts i have stayed at in Batam, Montigo’s breakfast selection would prolly be the best.
Tadd also serves all day dining if you’re hungry at any point of the day. Lunch can be settled here but we were usually too full from the breakfast.
If you’re itching for some coffee or cakes during the day, Cafe Montigo is one of the F&B outlet you can chill out at too. Escape from the incessant heat, there’s no need to get out of the resort to enjoy high tea and snuggle up in this conditioned cafe.
Adjacent to the main lobby, this intimate kelong-style restaurant is tucked away in a cocoon of natural beauty – Pantai. Serving mainly chinese cuisine, make sure to make a reservation at 3 of their tables overlooking the lush greenery and ocean. Catch the amazing sunset while having dinner here if you’re lucky.
Well, if the friends and family are lazy to get out of the Villa, Montigo also offers a in-villa BBQ! Choose to either do it next to the pool or at the rooftop, you’ll get to enjoy top notch service as the staff will do the BBQ for you as you watch the sunset. We chose the BBQ to be next to the pool but i’d recommend you to do it upstairs at the roof terrace
The night is still young we would always say. If you’re bored of chilling in the villa, Tiigo is your answer. Beach club in the day, Tiigo is transformed to a bar at night with a live band. Order a shisha and some drinks while admiring the night sky filled with stars or on your lucky day, Singapore’s night skyline from afar.
Well, I’ve shown you where Montigo is, its villa and the dining options at the resosrt. If you’re still not convinced that it is the resort to bring your family and friends for a short getaway, look out for my next post on what to do at Montigo.
