Oxwell & Co is celebrating Christmas with a new three-course menu that features a range of delectable Christmas food items. This three-levelled cafe is located at the top of Ann Siang Hill, a very undisturbed area, away from the crowd.
Be spoilt for choice with their mouth-watering mains. The Rolled Organic Turkey was such a smart dish as we all know turkey breasts tend to dry out easily. Hence, the chef decided to roll the turkey with mushrooms, retaining the moisture in every bite. Accompanied by a house cranberry jam, this will definitely have you wanting more.
If you love a good ol’ pork belly, the next dish is something you might want to try. The thinly sliced Roast Belly of Pork here had a perfect melody of flavours – savoury from the pork belly and sweet from the black mission figs. The best thing about this dish? The pork was so juicy on the inside and crisp on the outside, it was just cooked to perfection.
A $10 supplement has to be made for this dish but the Grass-Fed Fillet of Beef will justify itself. Have it as done as you wish, but I suggest a medium done steak as it was still very moist and wasn’t chewy at all. On the side was a whipped horseradish mash and green beans, but the beef will still be the star of the plate.
With a side of asparagus salad, the Herb Roasted Seabass was seated on a bed of minted desiree potatoes. A tinge of mint in the potatoes made it taste so light and refreshing. The seabass was buttery and flaky, with a herb crust layered on top. Definitely a lighter dish compared to the rest, so if you’re going for something milder, this would be perfect.
Complete your meal with desserts like Lemon Posset, Orange Chocolate Mousse or a Cheese Plate. Fell in love with the Orange Chocolate Mousse at first bite. This luscious chocolate mousse had a touch of orange flavour that wasn’t too overwhelming. A heavy, dense dessert which was balanced with a scoop of refreshing gelato on top.
