Known for its themed buffets, Hotel Jen Tanglin has recently come up with an all-you-can-eat for Christmas that starts from 1 November to 30 December. This Festive Seafood Buffet has a special spread of carvings, on top of J65’s usual buffet options.
Hotel Jen Tanglin’s Signature Roasted Turkey, a popular favourite from last year’s Christmas Buffet, has made it back to this year’s carvings – both Traditional and Asian Percik Styled. Both turkeys had its unique points but both were equally delicious.
Not only that, they have many other must-haves like Slow Roasted Prime Rib Beef and a Honey Glazed Virginia Ham. Help yourselves to the sweet, savoury and spicy sauces that they have. I loved how the turkey paired with the cranberry sauce so well. Some cravings not as commonly found in buffets and that are must-tries here at J65 are the Roasted Pork Knuckle and Braised Oxtail Bourguinonne.
Apart from their Christmas spread, J65 is well known for their seafood items like their fresh Snow Crabs, Prawns and Mussel on Ice.
If you don’t fancy cold food, I highly recommend the Seafood Thermidor. A variety of seafood like prawns, clams and sotong, are covered with a layer of gooey cheese with garlic bread at the side. It’s addictive! They also have the most excellent Lobsters, Chilli Crab, a DIY Kueh Pie Tee station and even a DIY Rojak station!
Of course, with every festive buffet will come the festive dessert corner. Expect familiar Christmas desserts like a Gingerbread house, Profiteroles, Xmas Cookies and Xmas Fruit Cakes. It’s so adorable how every dessert is Christmas themed.
Alongside these are homely desserts like Pandan Chiffon Cake, Potong Ice Cream, Grass Jelly and Durian Pengat. One of the best desserts had to be J65’s famous Durian Pengat that I would highly recommend you try. You really can’t get enough of this.
