Thinking of what to do around OZO Wesley Hong Kong when you first check-in or are waiting to kill time? Having stayed at OZO Wesley Hong Kong for around a week, we ventured around the hotel’s surrounding. This post will be on a few interesting places nearby that would interest you if you are a little short on time that we found.
1) Pacific Place Shopping Mall
Just behind OZO Wesley Hong Kong is a bustling shopping mall, Pacific Place. Quite similar to Singapore’s Ion, the mall has many high-end brands for you to window shop. Feeling hungry ? There are plenty of dining options here if you are craving for a delicious meal. TWG for high tea, The Commissary offers brunch in a chic setting or Peking Garden if you want something local. Located just below Admiralty MTR Station, the mall is a short distance away from OZO Wesley Hong Kong.
2) Ocean Park Hong Kong
Take only one MTR stop from Wan Chai MTR and you’ll end up at Ocean Park Hong Kong. The journey from OZO Wesley Hong Kong to Ocean Park is only about 25 minutes or less from end to end. This is great if you can’t wake up early and want to be there when Ocean Park Hong Kong opens at 10 am. However, do go early because although we were there at at opening hour, the queue to enter Ocean Park streched all the way from the entrance of Ocean Park itself to the MTR Station.
You can only imagine how much fun we had at the theme park aka attraction. Ocean Park is huge as it has 2 islands that you can travel across to via cable cars or an underground train. This place has a whole lot of crazy rides like roller coasters and many animal shows. Remember to dress appropriately, depending on the time of year you’re going! Well, after a fun day out to Ocean Park Hong Kong, getting back to OZO Wesley Hong Kong is just too convenient.
3) Hoko Farm’s
We decided venture out of OZO Wesley Hong Kong for breafkast one morning and we chanced upon a cafe called Hoko Farm’s. We ordered a set breakfast meal each that both came with a cup of milk tea that we loved. There’s just something about Hong Kong’s milk tea that makes me want more. We got one of their traditional breakfasts – scrambled eggs, toast, and macaroni, which was pretty satisfying. Also, we got a wagyu beef patty with tomato sauce and scrambled eggs at the side which I loved. A total damage of HKD102 (SGD17) was made here but definitely worth the try.
4) Elephant Grounds
This popular coffee place has expanded rapidly in recent years and we when we googled for a cafe nearby OZO Wesley Hong Kong, it came out. A really photogenic cafe located right next to Pacific Place Shopping Mall. This outlet exudes warm and welcoming vibes when you enter through the front door. Great for breakfast, provided if you are contented with the limited options on their menu, but generally Elephant Grounds is more known for its coffee. Pretty packed when we visited during a weekday morning, you are one lucky star if you manage to find a seat without waiting.
5) Wan Chai Street Market
Only a 9-minute walk from OZO Wesley Hong Kong, Wan Chai Street Market is also known as “Toy Street” to locals and sells many types of toys and stationery. The route to this place is also on the way to Admiralty MTR Station. It opens in the early afternoon so it’ll be a good place to drop by after breakfast at the hotel. Alternatively, on the way to the street market, you’ll walk past many cha chan tings where you can settle your breakfast at.
