Sea & Blue Singapore @ The Shoppes Marina Bay Sands

Sea & Blue Singapore opened its doors to the public just a month ago, in August of 2017. This Continental and Korean buffet spread serves over 100 appetizing selections that would satisfy every different palate. Located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Sea & Blue at B2 (below Carnivore Brazilian Churrascaria) you’ll find the brightly lit restaurant and the welcoming smiles of the staff.

As you walk in, you’ll soon realise that you’ve got a real problem at hand. The spread here at Sea & Blue Singapore is so huge you don’t know where to start; Sea & Blue has 10 hot and cold stations – Korean, Barbecue, Deep-Fried, Hot Dishes & Noodles, Seafood, Salads + Fruit, Pizza & Pasta, Wine & Beer, Beverages, and Dessert Bar.

Of course being a buffet, we’ll try them all. Filling our tables complete with food, we had a mini buffet spread set up. Within the fully occupied table, there were deep-fried food, seafood, sushi, bibimbap and even some desserts – cause why not?

The food was surprisingly well-seasoned and flavoured as compared to other same-priced buffets. Certain items were perfectly cooked and came out fragrant and hot. We even had barbequed beef slices cooked on request by the chefs, which turned out to be one of the more delicious items we ate.

The crab, though giving you a load of scissor action before you devour the meat, was sweet and juicy. The roasted pork, one of our favourites, had a delightful crackling sound as you bite into the skin, and juicy, soft layers of the meat. The teriyaki salmon that we tried was soft and flavourful – and not to mention it being a good portion of salmon.

Within the buffet, you will find the essentials that everyone likes – sashimi, pizza and for you Korean loving fans, dukbokki, kimchi and even bibimbap. This selection of food would be great for families with children as they even have their own patbingsu station and a self-serve, soft-serve machine. (They even make fresh waffles for you)

Prices at Sea & Blue Singapore ranges  between $42++ to $64++ for adults during lunch, and $58++ to $68++ for dinner. Children dine at $22++ to $26++ at lunch and $26++ at dinner.

And should you want to have a private dining experience with your friends or family, rooms can be booked for a nominal top up fee of $30 – $50. A large conference room, fully equipped with a projector and sound system that can easily house 50 people for private events goes for an additional $150 to the bill.

With the spread changing every fortnight, expect to eat different food when you visit Sea & Blue Singapore.

For a buffet priced under this range, Sea & Blue is one of the better restaurants in the business. With a wide range of different dishes, there will definitely be a lot for everyone to try. Most of the food are well cooked but there are several 'not-so-standout' items in the spread. Being at the extreme end of the mall, the location of Sea & Blue is not the most favored as a long walk is required to reach the place.
