To all ramen lovers, I bring good news. Ramen Champion Clarke Quay has recently opened a full-service restaurant at the heart of Clarke Quay. Not only would you be able to indulge in quality ramen while enjoying the scenic view, you will also be spoilt for choice with the huge variety of dishes available at this outlet. Plus! Just top up $4 with any main course purchase and you gain access to the free flow salad bar!
One of the specality dish at Ramen Champion Clarke Quay is the Special Tonkotsu Pink Ramen ($15.80). It comprises of beetroot and blueberries infused Tonkotsu ramen. Savoury with the slightest hint of sweetness. I really love how generous they were with the char siew slices which were well seasoned and not too fatty.
Magma Ramen is served in a hot stone bowl available at different levels of spiciness- which is a blend of 6 different spices (capsicum peppers, Japanese black pepper and chilli flakes, chilli padi, chilli oil, Korean chilli flakes). This was just a mild level 5 but for some of us, it was spicy enough to send steam pouring out of our ears. At the same time, there were others who thought that it had no kick. It depends on how much spice you can take. If are a dare devil, I challenge you to take on level 20 -the spiciest of all here at Ramen Champion Clarke Quay.
Fisherman Don, featuring premium and fresh sashimi air flown from Japan’s Tsukiji Market. I love the combination of the sweetness from the fresh seafood and the saltiness of the blended sauce of miso, sesame, wasabi and soy sauce. To wash down that delicious explosion of flavour, mix the remaining rice with hot dashi soup made of bonito and kombu for a refreshing palate. This was probably the favourite of the night.
