We checked out SBCD Korean Tofu House at the newly opened Tanjong Pagar Centre the other day. Located just above Tanjong Pagar MRT, you’ll find a snaking queue during lunch hours. Specializing in a variety of Korean soft tofu soup, where the “soon” in “soontofu” means soft, it upholds the kitchen philosophy of serving uplifting and complete meals, and every soontofu dish is created with soft and silken tofu that is hand-made fresh daily, and prepared in 4 different levels of spiciness for the broth – mild, medium, spicy and crazy hot.
So what’s our pick at SBCD Korean Tofu House? The Toufu stews of course! We went for the Seafood Stew ($19.90) and the Ham & Cheese ($19.90). True to their word, the toufu were smooth as silk, and almost slides down your throat. Preferred the Seafood version as seafood flavors compliment well with the stew.
Other than stews, SBCD Korea Tofu House offers a variety of korean dishes. The usual suspects – Bulgogi ($25.90), Pork Belly Kimchi ($32.90) and Bibimbap ($19.90).
If you are in the mood to try something different, the Spicy Raw Flower Crab ($29.90) is a must order! When they say spicy, its really spicy!
Craving for some pipping hot stew and smooth as silk toufu, SBCD might be the place for you. Oh yes! You can make a reservation of SBCD Korean Tofu House at Quandoo!
