Another cafe has opened its door in my hood in toa payoh – The Daily Press. This under the block cafe in the midst of the ageing estate, serves up a good variety of sandwiches with a twist. Coffee’s from liberty coffee.
K.F.C (Korean ‘Fried’ Chicken) sandwich
Because it was late in the afternoon, Xing Wei and I decided to just grab a light bite with coffee. First impression counts and the the sandwich ($12) was a real treat. The bread was a tad tough (due to its nature) but very flavorful. It complements that made from scratch korean fried chicken. Found out that the Daily Press makes their own kimchi, marinates the chicken in it and bakes the chicken with crumbs. All these work just that we can savour this dish on our table.
